Abstract
Complex classification of tantalum and tantalum-niobium ore deposits is suggested in a table-shaped form: four columns reproduce three granitoid and one syenitoid magmatic series — essential ones for prognosis of rare-metal-bearing areas, while strings correspond to varieties of rocks-ores (volcanites, plutonites, pegmatites, placer sands-gravels) — the principal factors for the ore processing technologies. Cells in intersections of strings and columns include as known now, so unknown yet but possible, geological-economic types and mineralogical subtypes of ore deposits. This systematic brings together numerous features and contains a new quality — the possibility to forecast the economically feasible mineralization on the base of common geological and mineral resources maps. Moreover, new types of rare-metal ore deposits, corresponding to «empty» cells of the table, may be predicted also.
Key words: classification of tantalum-niobium deposits, the principles and features of the taxonomy, deposits geological-economic types and mineralogical subtypes.
