Abstract
Scientific program, chronicle and contents of reports, together with organizational arrangements of the annual scientific conference «Fedorov session—2016» are reviewed. The Conference took place in the oldest Russian technical university — the Saint Petersburg Mining University (founded in 1773). The principal target of the Fedorov Session is the discussing of the up-to-date trends in scientific directions established by Prof. E. S. Fedorov (1853—1919). Actual scientific profile of the conference is to cover the recent progress in applied mineralogy, mineralogical crystallography and crystal chemistry.
