Abstract

A group of accessory ore minerals was discovered in rocks of the Galmoenan mafic-ultramafic massif (Koryakskoye Upland, Kamchatka, Russia), which is represented by native metals (iron, copper, zinc, silver), iron-nickel and cobalt-iron intermetallic compounds, sulfides (pentlandite, cobaltpentlandite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, heazlewoodite, millerite, shandite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, the phase Cu3S2), arsenides (maucherite, nickeline, orcelite, modderite) and some other minerals. Their chemical composition, crystal forms and paragenetic associations are described. Formation of these minerals is connected with the serpentinization process.

Key words: accessory minerals, awaruite, wairauite, intermetallic compounds, shandite, mafic-ultramafic Galmoenan massif, Kamchatka.
