Abstract

Magnetoplumbite-group minerals of different parageneses, including the xenolith of metasomatically altered garnet lherzolite from the Obnazhennaya kimberlite pipe (Yakutia), sulfide-free metasomatic Pb-Zn-Sb ores from the Pelagonian massif (Macedonia) and several other metasomatic occurrences, have been studied with use of X-ray powder diffraction analysis, IR and Raman spectroscopy. New data were obtained on isomorphism and crystal chemistry of magnetoplumbite group minerals. Three potentially new mineral species belonging to this group have been identified: Al-dominant analogue of yimengite, Ba-dominant analogue of ne&zilovite and Mn-dominant analogue of plumboferrite.

Key words: magnetoplumbite group, isomorphism, metasomatites, Pelagonian massif, Obnazhennaya kimberlite pipe, IR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy.
