Abstract

ulfide-free mineral associations with minerals of chalcophile elements have been studied in ore occurrences connected with metasomatic rocks of Pelagonian massif (Republic of Macedonia). On the base of analysis of morphological features and zoning of the spinel group minerals and minerals of the högbomite supergroup, there have been made conclusions about consequence in input of various ore-forming components. It is shown that, due to commensurability of their unit cell parameters, these minerals form easily epitaxic and syntaxitical intergrowths with each other and with ne&zilovite. There were revealed several potentially new minerals belonging to the högbomite supergroup.

Key words: spinel group, gahnite, franklinite, hetaerolite, högbomite supergroup minerals, zincohögbomite, zincovelesite, Pelagonian massif, Republic of Macedonia.
