Abstract
New data on the nature, paragenesis and composition of Bi-bearing jamesonite have been found in the gold-quartz ores of the Sredne-Golgotai deposit located in the eastern part of the Mongol-Okhotsk orogenic belt. This mineral forms here two independent mineral varieties (I, II) slightly different in composition, that resemble the sakharovaite described in ores of the Ustarasai deposit. The difference between I and II varieties is in the lack of Cu and Fe in composition of the variety I. According to the analyses, the varietiy I is close to jamesonite, and the variety II is close to tintinaite. The researches allow the statement about the probable presence in the currently recognized tintinaiite-kobellite series of the independent mineral forms of sulphosalts of exactly tintinaite and jamesonite series close in composition. There is a suggestion that the copperless and iron-free variety of the Bi-bearing jamesonite can formally be considered as a mineral spicies.
