Abstract

On the base of the adsorption-fluctuation model of the normal dissolution of crystal, the frequencies of occurrence of topological varieties of curvilinear polyhedra of the Urals-type diamonds in an isotropic stationary process have been calculated. There is proposed the method to construct generalized polyhedra with a significantly smaller number of topological varieties than in a natural polyhedron. Revealed dissymmetry of the shape of natural diamond crystals is manifested in redistribution of empirical frequencies of the occurrence of morphotypes of generalized polyhedrons. There is shown influence of two dissymmetry factors: the anisotropy of physical field surrounding the dissolving natural diamond, and the plastic deformation of the crystal structure resulted from motions of the mantle rocks accompanying the dissolution process. Obtained results allow to propose the method for calculating the effect of dissymmetrizing factors for a statistical sample of crystals.
