Abstract

Chemical composition of olivine of 10 groups selected by diamondiferous degree and petrographic characteristics of host rocks (xenoliths in kimberlites and rocks related to kimberlites) has been analyzed with use of the original program MineralogicalAnalyses. Variations in contents of petrogenic (Mg, Fe, Si) and rare for olivine (Cr, Ni, Ca) elements are considered with some conclusions for estimating the diamondiferous potential of kimberlite bodies.
