Abstract

The article is devoted to the 90th anniversary of S.S. Savkevich, Honorary Member of the Russian Mineralogical Society, and 50th anniversary the date of publication of his monograph “Amber”. It briefly discusses his life path and the scientific heritage of this outstanding scientist.
