Abstract

The mineralogical study of the polyakovite-(Ce) occurrence in the Ilmen Mountains (themSouth Urals, Russia) has led to discovery of numerous parageneses including accessory polyakovite-(Ce), aeschynite-(Ce), fergusonite-(Ce), monazite-(Ce), chromite, and other minerals. The alkaline ultramafic formation with carbonatites is represented there by richterite-phlogopite-forsterite, richterite-phlogopite, and phlogopite-richterite rocks, glimmerites and carbonatites, together with their pegmatite analogues.
